The Northgate Business Center was built along 300 West during the 1920s.  At that time in Salt Lake City’s history, the 300 West corridor became a popular location for commercial development due to its access to the recently expanded railroad into the area as well as the paving of nearby roads.  The 4-story, masonry complex is currently designated as an office building.
