Barrett dedicates his practice to working for victims of injustice and fighting corporate entities that value profits over the health and safety of people. His belief that all victims deserve the best and most focused representation drives him to aggressively fight for his clients.
Born and raised in Beaumont, Texas, Barrett graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and received his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law. It was in his early career as a law student that Barrett first displayed his flair for the law, at which time he was presented with the CALI Award for Legal Research and Writing and earned the highest grade in his section. After law school, Barrett moved to Houston where he currently lives with his wife, daughter and son.
Barrett has spent more than a decade helping victims recover compensation for their pain and suffering. To date, has successfully helped countless individuals seek justice through personal injury claims and lawsuits. As an active member of the Asbestos Litigation Group (AAJ) and the American Association for Justice, Barrett is both professionally and personally invested in his clients.
Barrett has worked to achieve substantial verdicts and settlements for his clients in jurisdictions throughout the country. In recognition of the quality of his work, Barrett has repeatedly been named as a “Rising Star” in the Super Lawyers edition of Texas Monthly, a distinction reserved for the top 2.5% of Texas attorneys who are under 40 years of age or have been practicing for less than 10 years. Additionally, Barrett’s hard work and experience has led to frequent requests to speak at national legal conferences to educate others on the latest trends in litigation.
With more than a decade of practice to his name, Barrett is licensed to practice in the states of Texas, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and Louisiana. In addition, he is a professional member of the State Bar of Texas, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Louisiana Bar Association.
